Inside Green Petfood
We rely on alternative and sustainable protein sources for our innovative recipes. From peas, soy, lentils, insects and more. There's something for everyone. But taste is not our only priority. For us, the basis for every recipe is the best quality.
That's why we develop our dog and cat food together with our experienced nutritionists. You can be sure, our dog and cat food provides your four-legged friend with all the nutrients they need. And they are also super tasty and well tolerated.

Insects

The insects used in our dog and cat food are specially bred for our food in Europe. We use the larvae of the black soldier fly for this. The insect farm works according to a holistic approach: the insects are kept in a hygienic environment and reproduce naturally.
Vegetables

Where it makes sense, we round off our recipes with delicious vegetables, herbs and fruit. Pea, lentil and potato protein are not only high-quality sources of protein. They also provide plenty of minerals and vitamins. So your four-legged friend will want for nothing.
The science of tasty

At Green Petfood, nutritionists and animal professionals work purposefully on new products and product concepts. This means that we combine comprehensive recipes that taste good with innovative ideas and scientific knowledge. In addition to our own scientific studies, we also use the latest results of international research. Including the scientific findings of the FEDIAF.
FEDIAF is the trade organization of the European pet food industry.
It deals with:
- Additives and undesirable substances
- Feed safety and hygiene
- Product communication
- Nutritional and analytical science
- Feed and trade
- Environment and sustainability
- Special nutritional purposes
Insights into the laboratory
Only high-quality ingredients are used in our lean recipes. To ensure this our own accredited laboratory checks everything: the incoming ingredients, the recipes and the finished food.

What does accredited mean?
The word “accredited” comes from Latin. Translated, it means “to give credence to”. Accreditation by an independent body is therefore the basis for trust in internal controls. This is why we regularly undergo voluntary, neutral inspections in addition to the state inspections.
