Our awards & certifications

The seal is awarded every two years exclusively to brands that make a significant contribution to protecting the climate, the environment, nature, biodiversity and resources. We are extremely proud that the independent jury has once again recognized us. After the 2019/2020, 2021/2022 and 2023/2024 certification rounds, we can also celebrate our GREEN BRAND status in 2025/2026. And as one of the first brands from the pet industry! We're really excited about dogs and cats!

2024, Green Petfood has received the most important recognition for sustainable commitment in Germany - the German Sustainability Award in the “Feed and Pet Food” category. The German Sustainability Award is the national award for pioneers in their industry. The prize is the largest of its kind in Europe. The award is presented by the Stiftung Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis e.V. (German Sustainability Award Foundation) in cooperation with the federal government, leading municipal associations, business associations, civil society organizations and research institutions.

We are EMAS certified. EMAS is a European environmental management system that provides advice for the food and feed industry, agriculture and bioenergy. With particular emphasis on energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. As an independent instrument of the European Union, EMAS enables organizations to improve environmental performance and eliminate environmental and economic weaknesses. This can lead to savings in materials, energy and costs.

The PSC provides a platform to inform, inspire and support the pet food industry and its stakeholders on their journey towards sustainability. We at Green Petfood are a member of this coalition. As such, we exchange ideas with other pioneers in the industry.
