Our cereal-free and gluten-free recipes don't waste time with bells and whistles. In our recipes we don't use any sugar, artificial colourants, flavourings, preservatives, or genetically-modified ingredients.
What's more, our clever finishing touches will accompany your cat safely through all nine of their lives. Although a cat's metabolism functions very differently to that of a dog, we can support this with different ingredients.
Psyllium seed husks, for example, help your cat to deal with annoying hairballs and can have a positive effect on their digestion. Hemp oil and linseed oil can have a positive effect on the skin and coat. Each recipe contains its own unique finishing touches.

A simple blended concept: a different menu every day!
Our simple blended concept ensures plenty of variety for your moggy. To cover the daily energy requirements of a cat with an average weight of 4kg, you can use our rough rule of thumb: 40g of FairCat Safe or FairCat Vital dry food plus 1 pouch of your choice from the FairCat wet food selection! This means plenty of flavour and a happy cat!
Sustainability starts with meat
The subject of animal welfareis one of our top priorities. The animal protein that ends up in your pet's bowl is obtained from a more species-appropriate husbandry and the animals come from the region. This means that our chickens and salmon enjoy much better living conditions than their fellow creatures that are conventionally raised. Here you can find out exactly how our chickens grow up in conditions approved by the German Humane Society.
We want to take a clear stand to show that we do not approve of conventional intensive farming, and promote holistic improvements in the living conditions of livestock instead. In addition, however, we also try to look for alternatives to conventional protein sources for the sake of our environment - and as insects are the protein source of the future, we have already found a great solution!
Climate-positive - what?
FairCat is the first climate-positive cat food. You may already have heard that some producers operating today are already climate-neutral. This means that the CO2 generated in the production of food is offset by various measures. To do this, companies must re-absorb the carbon dioxide they emit into the atmosphere.
With FairCat, we have gone a step further: FairCat is committed to a positive life cycle assessment. But what does this mean exactly? We also compensate for the CO2 emissions caused by our cat food - throughout the whole process, from the acquisition of raw ingredients to the finished meal in your pet's bowl - through a forest conservationproject in Tanzania. To achieve this, the independent institute myclimate first calculates what our climate footprint looks like.
Then, together with the organisation Carbon Tanzania, we ensure that the same amount of carbon dioxide is captured from the air again through our forest conservation project in Tanzania.
But we have upped our game and actually capture 25% more CO2 than we generate. So FairCat isn't just climate-neutral: it's climate-positive! By using FairCat, you aren't just doing the climate a favour, but also protecting the habitat of many threatened species and the land of the local people.
